A fiber optic network will provide the infrastructure needed to attract the next generation of high-tech business to Burlington.  This includes, but is not limited to advanced medical imaging and technologies, online gaming companies, movie and music production, dot-com, etc.  This would give us the opportunity to be the tech-hub of the Northeast and a major player in the World’s online economy, not just another spoke.  Jobs in these industries are usually high-paying, and would trickle to every corner of our local economy.
